In-town pool report #1 — off to golf

Good morning from overcast Washington. I'm your print pooler today.

Pool was rolling to Trump National Golf Club at 8:35 a.m. No word yet from the White House about whom the president plans to golf with today, and nothing public so far on the schedule.

In-town pool report #2 — arrival time

Your pooler arrived at Trump National Golf Club at 9:11 a.m. The drive was uneventful, save for the sun coming out and one woman waving from her car window.

Still no word on the president's company today.

In-town pool report #3 — afternoon meetings

The president will take private meetings this afternoon at Trump National Golf Club, a White House official said. The official declined to identify whom the president plans to meet or what they plan to discuss.

All that your pooler can see is quiet at the golf club, but that may change shortly as a junior tennis tournament has just begun.

In-town report #4 — golf club departure

The motorcade departed Trump National Golf Club at 3:43 p.m. and headed back to the White House.

Your pooler has asked for details about the president's golf game today. No word yet.

In-town pool report #5 — back at the White House

Your pool arrived at the White House at 4:18 p.m. after a smooth drive.

Your pooler did not see the president today but did enjoy a fried chicken sandwich for lunch. A few of your pool's eagle-eyed photographers saw the president dressed in a white polo.

The Rose Garden construction appears to be making considerable progress.

The White House has called a travel/photo lid, just in time for the rain.
