In town pool report #1 - lawmakers in briefing room

Good afternoon from the White House.

Reps. Bacon, Fitzpatrick and Lawler made a brief drop by the briefing room.

New York Post's Diana Glebova asked about their visit, inquiring what they wish to speak to POTUS about.

Fitzpatrick said they want to keep their meeting private.

Bacon made a joke about everything being better with back. He then said he hasn't been to the West Wing in four years. He also observed the briefing room is smaller than it appears on TV.

The lawmakers quickly departed as more reporters descended upon them.

In town pool report #2 - Sean Hannity in briefing room

Sean Hannity just walked through the briefing room. His interview with President Trump is airing tonight on Fox News.

He said it was "amazing."

Hannity said of POTUS: "He is focused and he's happy and he has a big agenda. He's dialed in."

Also - correction to pool report #1 - Rep. Bacon made a joke earlier about everything being better with BACON. Apologies for the autocorrect typo (and pooler 100% agrees with the Congressman).

The President and his team are monitoring the news out of Nashville. As details unfold, the White House offers its heartfelt thoughts and prayers to those impacted by this senseless tragedy and thank the brave first responders responding to the incident.

In town pool report #4 - Leavitt takes questions from the press

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt took a few questions from the press outside on the White House driveway after she made an appearance on Fox News:

On the executive order President Trump signed Monday: "President Trump signed an executive order - 1500 additional troops to United States southern border. This comes off of his day one action, as I just talked about on Fox News, to direct the Department of Defense to make homeland security a core mission of the agency. This is something President Trump campaigned on, the American people have waiting for such a time as this - for our Department of Defense to actually take homeland security seriously. This is a number one priority of the American people and the president has already delivered."

Asked about Elon Musk's comments on President Trump's AI announcement: "I just spoke about it on Fox."

More on the order President Trump signed: "Securing the bordering and deporting illegal immigrants from this country. President Trump is sending a very strong message to people around this world – if you are thinking about breaking the laws of the United States of America, you will be returned home. You will be arrested. You will be prosecuted."
