Statement by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on the Bilateral Meeting between President Joe Biden and President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of Mexico

On July 12, President Joe Biden will host Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico, for a bilateral meeting at the White House. The First Lady of the United States Jill Biden will also host Ms. Beatriz Gutierrez Müller, First Lady of Mexico. The leaders will discuss their efforts to address global challenges, such as food security, and discuss joint competitiveness initiatives, such as work being undertaken in the U.S.-Mexico High-Level Economic Dialogue. They also plan to discuss their visions for North America, cooperation on migration, joint development efforts in Central America, security, climate and energy, and global issues.
