Statement by the Press Secretary - Bills Signed by the President Today

On Monday, December 28, 2009, the President signed into law:

H.R. 3819, which extends for three years, through December 31, 2012, the authority for Federal payment of claims in excess of what is covered by required insurance for catastrophic damages arising out of a licensed commercial space launch or reentry;

H.R. 4284, which extends two laws that grant trade benefits to developing countries; and

H.R. 4314, which increases the public debt limit from $12.104 trillion to $12.394 trillion.
