On October 8, 2010, the President signed into law:
H.R. 714, which authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to lease certain lands in Virgin Islands National Park;
H.R. 1177,the “5-Star Generals Commemorative Coin Act,” which requires the Department of the Treasury to mint and issue coins in recognition of the attendance and graduation of five U.S. Army 5-Star Generals (George Marshall, Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower, Henry “Hap” Arnold, and Omar Bradley) from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College;
S. 2868, the “Federal Supply Schedules Usage Act of 2010,” which authorizes the General Services Administration to provide for the use of the Federal supply schedules: (1) by the American National Red Cross and by other relief or disaster assistance organizations for purchases to facilitate emergency preparedness and disaster relief; and (2) by State and local governments for purchases to facilitate disaster preparedness or response;
S. 3751, the “Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Reauthorization Act of 2010,” which reauthorizes and makes changes to the National Cord Blood Inventory Program and the C.W. Bill Young Transplantation Program;
S. 3828, which makes clarifying and technical amendments to S. 3304, the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010;
S. 3847, the “Security Cooperation Act of 2010,” which implements Defense Trade Cooperation treaties with the United Kingdom and Australia and amends other national security-related authorities.
