Statement by the Press Secretary

On Friday, December 12, 2003, the President signed into law:

H.R. 1828, the "Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003," which will impose sanctions on Syria until it ends its support for international terrorist groups, ends its occupation of Lebanon, and meets other specified conditions; and

H.R. 2115, the "Vision 100 -- Century of Aviation Reauthorization Act," which reauthorizes Federal aviation programs through FY 2007 and makes amendments to Federal transportation law intended to improve aviation system and security and to increase airport capacity.
