Statement by Governor Bill Richardson Applauding the Signing of the Regional Housing Authority Reform Bill

SANTA FE - Governor Bill Richardson applauds today's signing of Senate Bill 519 Regional Housing Authority Reform, by Lt. Governor Diane Denish.

"This is a major victory for ethics, fairness and reform," said Governor Bill Richardson. "I have long pushed for this ethical overhaul. I want to thank Senator Mary Kay Papen and the House, including Representatives Tom Taylor and Debbie Rodella, as well as DFA Secretary Katherine Miller for passing this strong reform measure. I'd also like to acknowledge Lt. Governor Denish who pushed tirelessly for this bill."
