Statement of Administration Policy: H.R. 999 - Reauthorization of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation

The Administration has no objection to House passage of H.R. 999. The Administration will seek an amendment in the Senate, however, to reduce the appropriations authorization from $2,500,000 annually for fiscal years 1990-1994 to $1,795,000 for fiscal year 1990 and such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 1991.
