Sanders Campaign Press Release - Sanders to Visit Massachusetts

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Due to the possibility of adverse weather conditions, Sen. Bernie Sanders' campaign has shifted the location of Saturday's rally in Springfield to the MassMutual Center. The Democratic Party presidential candidate is scheduled to hold a rally in Boston later that day. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues including income and wealth inequality and the disappearing middle class, campaign finance reform, his legislation targeting high prescription drug costs, criminal justice reform, and his college affordability plan.

Here is the itinerary:

Saturday, October 3

2 p.m.

Springfield Rally, MassMutual Center, 1277 Main Street, Springfield

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged. Cameras and video cameras are allowed, but bags are strongly discouraged. No large bags, backpacks, coolers, chairs, laser pointers, air horns, nose makers, whistles, or sharp objects/weapons of any kind are permitted by the venue.

6 p.m.

Boston Rally, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston

Doors open at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) is accessible from South Station and via the Silver Line station at World Trade Center Ave. Parking at the at the BCEC is in the South Parking Lot. Parking is $15 per car, $30 for oversized vehicles. Parking space is limited, and is first come, first served. Members of the public are encouraged to use public transportation or carpool. Directions to the BCEC are available on the BCEC website.
