Q. [Inaudible]—why you have to go early, sir?
Q. Mr. President, any statement on why you're leaving the G–7 early for Washington tonight?
President Trump. Well, I have to be back. Very important.
I want to just thank our great host. You did a fantastic job.
Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada. Thank you.
President Trump. Thank you and Canada.
But you probably see what I see, and I have to be back as soon as I can. We're going to have dinner with the—these wonderful leaders, and then I get on the plane. I have to be back early for obvious reasons.
Q. Have you directed the National Security Council to meet in the Situation Room?
President Trump. I loved it. I tell you, I loved it. And I think we got a lot done.
Prime Minister Carney. Yes.
President Trump. Really, a lot done.
In fact, U.K.—we signed a big trade deal today——
Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom. Yes.
President Trump. ——and we're working on others.
But we had a—just a really great relationship with everybody, and it's really nice. So, I wish I could stay for tomorrow, but they understand. This is big stuff.
Q. Is there a reason, Mr. President, that you can't do your business from here?
President Trump. Do you have questions for anybody else?
Q. Have you briefed the other leaders?
President Trump. What?

Prime Minister Carney. And I fully understand why he must return.
President Trump. We'll see you on the plane.
Prime Minister Carney. Okay? Take care.
