Readout of Vice President Kamala Harris's Call with President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu of Kosovo

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke with President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu of Kosovo today to convey the United States' gratitude for Kosovo's assistance in evacuation efforts from Afghanistan. The Vice President affirmed the strong relationship between the United States and Kosovo and expressed her appreciation for Kosovo's temporary hosting of vulnerable Afghans at Camp Bondsteel. Vice President Harris also underscored U.S. support for the government of Kosovo's efforts to strengthen rule of law and our hopes for progress in the EU-led Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue process. The Vice President was pleased to inform President Osmani that the U.S. donation of an additional 503,100 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, beyond the 35,100 already delivered, will be arriving in Kosovo this weekend.
