President Obama spoke today by phone with President Francois Hollande of France to accept President Hollande's condolences for the terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida. President Obama thanked President Hollande for visiting the U.S. Embassy in Paris on Monday to express France's sympathy and support. President Obama offered his own condolences on behalf of the American people for yesterday's fatal attack on a French police officer and his partner in France. Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to degrading and destroying ISIL and standing against the broader scourge of terrorism.
