Readout of the President's Briefing on Hurricanes Irma and Jose

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and their Cabinet received a briefing today at Camp David on hurricanes Irma and Jose. President Trump directed Federal agencies to continue supporting State and local efforts to save lives, promote shelter efforts, and expedite requested assistance to affected areas. The President also commended his team for remaining focused on Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts in Texas and Louisiana. He urged people in the storm's path to follow the directions of their State and local officials and emergency responders. The President, Vice President, and their Cabinet extend their thoughts and prayers to those affected.
