Readout of Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff's Visit to the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism

Today, Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff visited the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism in Foxborough, Massachusetts. While there, he met with staff and learned about the Foundation's Command Center, which monitors conversations related to antisemitism and hate speech across 300 million online sources in real-time. He also learned about efforts to drive awareness of antisemitism and hate through omni-channel campaigns to reach the American public and build empathy with all communities experiencing hate.

During the visit, Mr. Emhoff also joined a discussion on the importance of building coalitions to counter hate and the long history of partnership between the Black and Jewish communities. In the discussion, participants highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity in America at a time when hate is on the rise. They also emphasized the urgent need to address Antisemitic language and harassment. Mr. Emhoff highlighted how the Biden-Harris Administration is working with public, private, and non-profit leaders to improve education and awareness of Antisemitism, Islamophobia, and related forms of bias and discrimination.
