Today, President-elect Biden spoke separately with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer. He expressed his gratitude for the safety of the Members and their staff, including the Speaker and Leader. The president-elect also congratulated Leader Schumer on winning the majority in the Senate.

And, President-elect Biden discussed his agenda with leadership. He reiterated his belief that the bipartisan package passed in December was a down payment, and that we need additional immediate economic relief for families and small businesses, funding for COVID-19 response, including vaccinations, testing, school reopening, and state and local frontline workers.
