President Obama Amends the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians Disaster Declaration

The President yesterday made additional disaster assistance available to the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians by authorizing an increase in the level of federal funding for Public Assistance projects undertaken in the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians as a result of severe storms, flooding, and mudslides during the period of December 4-6, 2014.

Under the President's major disaster declaration issued for the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians on January 27, 2015, federal funding was made available for Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation at 75 percent federal funding of total eligible costs.

Under the President's order today, the federal share for Public Assistance has been increased to 90 percent of the total eligible costs.
