On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, the President signed into law:
H.R. 6758, the "Study of Underrepresented Classes Chasing Engineering and Science Success Act of 2018 or the SUCCESS Act," which extends the authority of the Department of Commerce's United States Patent and Trademark Office to set patent and trademark fees for eight years and requires a report on patents issued to certain groups; and
H.R. 6896, the "United States Parole Commission Extension Act of 2018," which extends the authority of the United States Parole Commission for an additional two years, until November 1, 2020.
