He touted legislation he has passed, Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS Act Said his administration has the best record when it comes to economic progress for women with the best jobs creation record of any president "nearly 16 million new jobs so far, 800,000 manufacturing jobs and over 300,000 more women in manufacturing" Said his admin has lowest unemployment rate for women in 70 years and lowered the gender pay gap Talked about strengthening unions and reiterated "We're proud to have the most pro-union administration in American history" He promoted his infrastructure record and criticized Trump, saying he "never built a damn thing" "I've never been more optimistic about America's future" He began around 11:44 and spoke for about 10 mins. |

Out of town pool report #4 — POTUS, VP hold call w/natsec team From the White House: President Biden convened a call with Vice President Harris and their national security team to receive an update on the situation in the Middle East, review the status of US military force posture in the region, and direct continued diplomatic efforts to coordinate with allies and partners and deescalate the ongoing conflicts. The President and Vice President will continue to receive regular updates. Pool has been swept and is holding near the president's residence. |

Out of town pool report #6 — The president arrived at St. Edmond Church in Rehoboth Beach at 4pm, the church is holding evening mass now. In response to a shouted question about Hassan Nasrallah, Mr. Biden said he already put out a statement. A dozen or so people were stopped on the sidewalk to see the motorcade as we passed through downtown. |

In response to a shouted question about whether an Israeli ground invasion into Lebanon was inevitable, he said: "It's time for a ceasefire." Out of town pool report #10 — FEMA briefing Passing along: Earlier this evening, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell and Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall briefed President Biden on the impacts of Hurricane Helene on multiple Southeastern states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. Criswell described the tragic loss of life across the region and the devastation in the Big Bend communities of Florida that she visited today at the President's request. They also briefed him on impacts in Georgia, to which Administrator Criswell will travel tomorrow, and North Carolina, to which Administrator Criswell will travel on Monday. The President directed them to continue to focus on how the Biden-Harris Administration can speed support to impacted survivors and accelerate recovery efforts, including the immediate deployment of additional search and rescue teams into North Carolina. The President will be briefed on an ongoing basis through the weekend. |
