In town pool report #8: event begins, Roosevelt room

The president walked in to the Roosevelt Room at 4:46PM. He began speaking right after.

To his left is one poster, to his right are two more. Both are flipped around so the pool cannot see them.

Secretary Kennedy is to his right.

Service is poor, event is being live streamed. I will continue to update as my emails send.

Shortly after the pool entered, more journalists filed in after the pool.

In town pool report #9: autism announcement

The president spoke for 13 minutes. Secretary Kennedy is now speaking.

Standing with the president, per the White House:
Oz, RFK, Marty Makary, Jay Bhattacharya, Heidi Overton, Dr. Dorothy Fink.

He started by listing statistics on the rate of autism diagnosis.

The president says that effective immediately, the FDA will issue a physician notice and initiate a safety label change on acetaminophen.

He was quite firm in emphasizing that pregnant women should not take Tylenol.

The HHS will also be launching a nationwide public "service campaign to inform families and protect public health," according to a poster next to the president.

In town pool report #10: Kennedy remarks, questions

Kennedy spoke for six minutes, he said the federal government "closely examining" vaccines link to the cause of autism.

Bhattacharya spoke for three minutes. Makary spoke for 4 minutes. Oz spoke for Four minutes.

They all echoed the president and Kennedy's remarks.

Dr. Fink two minutes before two mothers spoke about their personal experiences with autism.

The White House shares that the parents who spoke are Jackie O'Brien and Amanda Rumer.

The president is now taking questions.

The president took questions for about 15 minutes. The event ended at 5:52PM.

As you can tell, the president's departure to New York has been delayed.

The president said there is no downside to the announcement today.

The president added that he believes spacing out the vaccines has been proven to be safe.

He says he hopes other countries follow American's lead with today's recommendation.

Trump says he's a "big believer" in vaccines, and said Kennedy is too. The secretary nodded. But again, the president emphasized the rate in which babies are giving vaccines needs to be slowed.

The new gather time for the president's departure is 6:15PM. He will be departing at 6:30PM.

Gather location is at the press briefing room doors NOT the Palm Room doors.

Marine One was wheels up at 6:24 PM.

Travel pool #1 - Joint Base Andrews

Good evening from Joint Base Andrews.

Marine One was wheels down at 6:35 pm.

POTUS disembarked at 6:37 pm. He waved to the press pool and gave a thumbs up, but did not take questions. He boarded the plane.

Also exiting Marine One: Susie Wiles, Scott Bessent, Taylor Budowich, and Walt Nauta

AF1 will be wheels up shortly for JFK. Flight time about 45 minutes.

Travel pool #2 - JFK airport and no gaggle

Air Force One was wheels up JBA at 6:46 pm and wheels down JKF airport at 7:26 pm.

No visitors to the press cabin during the short flight.

POTUS disembarked AF1 at 7:35 pm. He gave the press pool an upraised fist and walked to Marine One. No gaggle.

Wheels up shortly for Wall Street Landing Zone

Travel pool #3 - Wall Street Landing Zone

Marine One was wheels down at 8 pm.

Pool was pulled to loan in vans before POTUS disembarked.

The landing helos - which includes the support ones - kicked up a spray of water from the East River that left the pool a bit wet.

Travel pool #4 - motorcade rolling

Motorcade is rolling at 8:07 pm.

Pool caught a brief glimpse of POTUS in the Beast as it drove by.

Travel note #5 - Trump Tower

Motorcade arrived at Trump Tower at 8:25 pm.

Pool did not see POTUS go in.

Ride was uneventful. There were bike rack barriers between the sidewalk and the street. Lots of New Yorkers stopped on the sidewalks to watch the motorcade go by. Route took us by UN headquarters.
