Out of town pool report #1

Good morning and Happy Halloween! I’ll be your out of town pooler for this weekends trip to Florida.

Pool has gathered in the vans to depart the White House north lawn. We will be motorcading with POTUS to JBA.

Out of town pool report #2 - WH departure

Motorcade is rolling to JBA at 11:15 a.m.

Out of town pool report # 3 - JBA arrival

Motorcade pulled into JBA at 11:32 a.m.

Drive was easy. Plenty of onlookers recording and waving at the motorcade on this pretty fall day as we drove out of the city.

POTUS boarded at 11:36. He waved before heading inside.

Out of town pool report #4 - wheels up

POTUS came back and spoke with press very quickly while the plane was taxiing.

Air Force One is wheels up at 11:49 a.m for Palm Beach.

Out of town pool report #5 - wheels down

Air Force One was wheels down in Palm Beach at 1:38 p.m.

Flight was smooth and bright. Fox News was on the TVs.

Sorry otter didn't send earlier. WiFi was cut off in air.

Here are quotes as promised:

On Asia trip:

"We took in approximately $3 trillion over the last few days from the trips that we made. They were unbelievable. The deal with China is going to be wonderful. It's going to be long lasting. I got really along with President Xi very well."

He said the farmers are "very happy."

"We have numbers coming to our farmers that the farmers have never seen before, from China, our farmers are very happy."

He said he has given China "great incentives to hold down the fentanyl, to get rid of it."

He said the meetings with China, Japan and South Korea were all "incredible."

"All of them and trillions of dollars are coming back to our country because of those meetings, and we have others planned with other countries, but those are big ones."

On Venezuela strikes:

When asked if he reports were true that he was considering strikes within Venezuela, he said "no."

On nuclear testing:

He said "you'll find out very soon" when asked if nuclear testing means resuming underground nuclear detonation tests.

"Other countries do it. If they're going to do it, we're going to do it."

On Orban asking for exemption on oil sanctions:

"He has asked for an exemption. We haven't granted one. He's a friend of mine."

On Canada negotiations:

Asked if he would resume negotiations he said, "no, but I have a very good relationship. I like [carney] a lot."

"But you know, what they did was wrong. He was very nice. He apologized for what they did with the commercial, because it was a false commercial."

On SNAP benefits:

"All the Democrats have to do is say, 'let's go.'"

"And you know, largely, when you talk about SNAP, you're talking about largely Democrats, but I'm president, I want to help everybody, I want to help Democrats and the Republicans. But when you're talking about SNAP, if you look it's largely Democrats, they're hurting their own people."

Out of town pool report # 6 - rolling to MAL

POTUS deplaned at 1:55 p.m. He came and spoke with the press briefly. Otter attached.

Motorcade is rolling to MAL at 2 p.m.

Out of town pool report #7 - MAL arrival

Motorcade arrived at MAL at 2:08 p.m.

Drive was peaceful in the beautifully sunny and warm Palm Beach. Some onlookers waving with Trump flags. One group of onlookers had huge flags on their cars. One said "the Donfather" with POTUS's picture. Another said "trust the plan."

Pool is now holding in vans.

Out of town pool report #8 - dinner lid

Until 6. Then heading back to MAL for Halloween festivities.

Out of town pool report #9 - rolling to MAL

Pool is rolling to MAL for Halloween party at 5:36 p.m.

Out of town pool report #10 - pool holding

Pool was swept and brought into a room at MAL around 6:10. The gold detailing of the room mirrors that of the Oval Office.

Pool spotted performers getting ready for some sort of show. Some women were dressed like show girls, others like flappers. People are practicing instruments.

Out of town pool report #11 - Halloween Party at MAL

Pool was brought in at 8:05 p.m. to a smoky party scene. Guests were dressed up in flapper costumes seated at well decked out tables while a band played. 

Theme was "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody."

POTUS was spotted seated at a table with Marco Rubio and his wife, along with Tiffany Trump and her husband and Ivanka and Jared Kushner. 

POTUS gave no remarks. 

Pool was taken out at 8:12 p.m.
