In town pool report #1- rolling to Arlington

Good morning from the White House on Veterans Day.

We are rolling to Arlington National Cemetery. We didn't see the president leave the White House.

In town pool report #2- arrived

Motorcade arrived at Arlington National Cemetery at 10:57am.

We drove through the cemetery to ceremonial cannon fire and the first stop is at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

We are holding for POTUS now.

Spotted so far: Speaker Johnson, Sec Hegseth, Sec Burgum, AG Bondi, Director Vought, Sec McMahon, Amb Greer.

In town pool report #3- event begins

President Trump arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with Vice President Vance, VA Secretary Collins and Brigadier General Gant at 11:13am.

They turned to face the tomb and stood for the National Anthem, saluting.

Trump then stepped forward, placed his hand on a decorated wreath for a few seconds and stepped back. The group of four then saluted again.

In town pool report #4

Trump, Vance, Collins, Gant turned and walked into the amphitheater at 11:18am. Pool is moving for the remarks.

In town pool report #5

The Army band played in the amphitheatre before the president arrived.

Trump, Vance and Collins walked out at the amphitheater to their seats at 11:39am.

Speaker Johnson, Sec Hegseth and other officials sat in the balcony to the president's right.

In town pool report #6- Vance remarks

The vice president began his remarks at 11:55am. POTUS will speak after him.

Before Vance, there was an invocation, Pledge of Allegiance led by national commander of AMVETS Paul Shipley and remarks from Sec Collins.

In town pool report #7- Trump remarks

The president began his speech at 11:59am, after being introduced by the vice president.

Trump began his remarks by thanking veterans for their service.

"Each of you have earned the respect and the gratitude of our entire nation," Trump said.

He also called out Speaker Johnson, congratulating him on a "big victory" for reopening the government.

In town pool report #8- remarks end

The president ended his remarks at 12:21pm.

He spoke about the US celebrating Victory Day, changing the name of the Department of War and cutting the backlog of claims through the VA in nine months.

He said his administration "fired thousands of people who didn't take care of our great veterans," saying he replaced them with "people who love our veterans."

Trump said he's working to address homelessness among veterans, lowering veterans unemployment and thanked the veterans service organizations.

He told stories of veterans' heroism, calling out some attendees at the event. And he discussed how the US military "obliterated Iran's nuclear capabilities."

"With everything they had, they did one thing above all else, they put America first," Trump said of veterans to conclude his remarks.

"I want to stay thank you once again to every American veteran, you are very very special people and always in our heart."

The Army band led God Bless America while Trump and Vance looked on.

In town pool report #9- rolling

The motorcade began rolling at 12:35pm.

We did not see the president leave the event.

Motorcade drove through the cemetery as ceremonial cannons fired again. Some fellow cemetery visitors looked on as we drove by.

We are now off the cemetery property.

In town pool report #10- WH arrival

Motorcade arrived back at the White House at 12:43pm. It pulled into the Pennsylvania Ave front entrance.

We did not see the president exit the Beast.

In town pool report #11- Lunch lid

Lunch lid until 2pm.

In town pool report #12- on with McAfee

President Trump is calling into the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN right now.

In town pool report #13- lid

Lid called at 5:01pm.
