Out-of-Town Pool Report #2: arrival at JBA M1 touched down at JBA at 1:34. POTUS, wearing a blue suit with a stripped blue tie and aviators, stepped off at 1:39. He waved to the press and boarded AF1 at 1:40. Ron Klain and Mike Donilon were also spotted exiting M1. We should be wheels up to Georgia shortly. Out-of-Town Pool Report #4: wheels down in Georgia After a bumpy flight, AF1 was wheels down at Dobbins Air Base at 3:03 pm. Karine Jean-Pierre gaggled with the press for about 12 minutes in the middle of the flight, during which she addressed the recent Supreme Court decisions, the conflict in the Middle East and protests in Kenya, among other topics. |

He then shook hands with each person and had brief exchanges though the pool was stationed too far away to hear. He entered the Beast at 3:19, and the motorcade started rolling at 3:21. Out-of-Town Pool Report #6: brief stop to greet supporters The motorcade arrived at a small, outdoor gathering of Biden supporters in Atlanta - on Baker Street just past the intersection with Peachtree Center. POTUS exited the Beast at 3:43 to cheers from supporters. POTUS hugged Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) and then shook hands and posed for photos with others. Supporters were holding campaign signs, including Dark Brandon cut-outs and large aviator sunglasses, and chanting, "four more years" and "let's go Joe." Just after leaving the Air Base, the pool passed a small group of protestors, most of them holding Pro-Trump signs. Also, your pooler spotted Jeffrey Katzenberg, one of the Biden campaign co-chairs, on the tarmac. Your print pooler is holding with a group of photographers in a hallway for access to a brief photo spray during the first commercial break. As a reminder, CNN is prohibiting any of the travel pool from accessing the studio during the debate outside the brief spray. Out-of-Town Pool Report #11: pool spray Your pooler was brought into the studio at 9:53 during a commercial break. POTUS and former President Donald Trump were both standing at their lecterns, staring straight ahead as photographers snapped photos. Neither of them said anything or made eye contact with one another. POTUS cracked a smile at the photogs, and as the pool was being ushered out, Trump took a sip of water from a plastic bottle. Your pooler was ushered out at 9:54 p.m. after about 45 seconds and is back in the hold room. |

Out-of-Town Pool Report #14: POTUS at watch party POTUS and FLOTUS entered a ballroom in the Hyatt Regency at 11:00 pm to chants of "four more years." The campaign hosted a debate watch party here - where supporters gathered with signs and a DJ played music. As always, check quotes against the transcript FLOTUS spoke first: "I can't thank you all enough," she said. "Joe did such a great job" "What did Trump do? Lied!" POTUS then spoke for a few minutes, thanking supporters and quoting a John Wayne western film "a lying, dog-faced pony solider" as he criticized Trump for lying during the debate. "They're going to be out there fact checking," POTUS said. "I can't think of one thing that he said was true" "Look we're going to beat this guy, and I need you in order to beat him, he said, adding "You are the reason why America is as good as we are." POTUS left the stage at 11:04 and he and FLOTUS worked the rope line. Pool is holding as POTUS greets supporters. |

POTUS and FLOTUS then went to the register to pick up food. FLOTUS said the order was for "Biden" and POTUS slipped her some cash. POTUS then answered a few questions: On how he performed tonight, he said, "I think we did well." On calls for him to drop out / whether he has any concerns about his performance: "No. It's hard to debate a liar. The New York Times pointed out he lied 26 times." POTUS briefly stopped to admire the crowd - lifting his hands out - and then continued down the stairs, followed by FLOTUS, to greet the officials listed below. POTUS and FLOTUS walked across the tarmac to greet the crowd of supporters.
