Nomination of Edward Joseph Mazur To Be Controller of the Office of Federal Financial Management

The President nominated Edward Joseph Mazur, of Virginia, to be Controller of the Office of Federal Financial Management, Office of Management and Budget. The Controller is a new position established by the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990.

Since 1980 Mr. Mazur has served as the State comptroller of the Commonwealth of Virginia. In addition, Mr. Mazur serves as co-chairman of State/Federal cash management reform task force, 1983 - present.

Mr. Mazur graduated from the University of Connecticut (B.S., 1964) and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (MBA, 1968). He was born September 24, 1942, in New Haven, CT. Mr. Mazur is married, has three children, and resides in Richmond, VA.
