Mississippi River Commission Nomination of Two Members.

January 15, 1979

The President today announced that he will nominate two persons to be members of the Mississippi River Commission. They are:

Maj. Gen. Louis W. Prentiss, Jr., Corps of Engineers. Prentiss, 51, is Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer, for the United States Army Europe and Seventh Army. He was previously Division Engineer for the U.S. Army Engineer Division in Europe.

Maj. Gen. Richard L. Harris, Corps of Engineers. Harris, 50, is Division Engineer with the U.S. Army Engineer Division, North Central, based in Chicago. He was previously Commanding General of the U.S. Army Training Center at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
