Dear Mr. President:

The thoughts and heartfelt sympathy of the American people are with you and the people of the Philippines, and especially with the families who have lost their homes and loved ones in the earthquake. Would you extend my personal condolence to all those who have suffered injury, bereavement, and loss in this tragedy.
