ICYMI: Vice President Harris Represented the United States at the Summit on Peace in Ukraine

Vice President Kamala Harris traveled to Switzerland over the weekend to represent the United States at the Summit on Peace in Ukraine and meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the sixth time.

During the Vice President's 17th foreign trip since being sworn in, she delivered remarks that reaffirmed the Biden-Harris Administration's support for the people of Ukraine and for Ukraine's efforts to secure a just and lasting peace, based on Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and the principles of the U.N. Charter. She also continued her focus on defending longstanding international rules and norms, argued that it is in America's strategic interest to do so, and announced over $1.5 billion in funding to bolster Ukraine's energy sector, address humanitarian needs, and strengthen civilian security.

This travel to represent the United States at the Summit alongside leaders from more than 90 countries was a continuation of Vice President Harris' consistent leadership on the world stage. Since being sworn in, she has now traveled to 21 countries.
