Wieckowski, joins over 150 Californian elected officials in supporting Harris, adding to show of strength from critical primary state

Today, Senator Kamala Harris earned the endorsement of another prominent California leader, State Senator Bob Wieckowski. Senator Wieckowski, has been a longtime advocate in the state legislature for consumers and low-income earners, taking on abusive debt collectors and oppressive wage garnishments.

"Throughout the years working with Senator Kamala Harris, I've seen her firsthand fight for the underdog and stand up for what is right," said Senator Wieckowski. "Senator Harris has proven herself to be a fierce champion for the people and has what it takes to confront and defeat Donald Trump. I'm proud to stand with her."

Harris, continues to enjoy overwhelming support from both elected officials and grassroots. Volunteers organized nearly 90 watch parties just in California to watch Senator Harris' commanding performance at the second Democratic debate.

Wieckowski joins more than 150 California state, local, and municipal leaders in backing Harris, including Members of Congress Barbara Lee, Ted Lieu, Katie Hill, Julia Brownley and Nanette Barragan, Jim Costa and Governor Gavin Newsom, Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis, Secretary of State Alex Padilla, State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara, 22 members of the State Senate Democratic Caucus including President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins, 33 Democratic members of the California Assembly, including Speaker Anthony Rendon, civil rights leader Dolores Huerta, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and Compton Mayor Aja Brown.
