The Queen lifted one up to show it to FLOTUS.

"It's beautiful," she said.

"They're brilliant aren't they," the queen replied.

They then stopped at Table 2: A very large book - John J. Audubon's Birds of America 1827-1838 — original

The pair then moved to a table of six schoolchildren who were writing and drawing pictures of animals.

"You need to have very small writing to fit on a very small book," she commented to one child who showed FLOTUS the illustrations.

"This is beautiful is that a fox?" she asked

They were.

FLOTUS pool 4: Frogmore Gardens

First Lady Melania Trump arrived with Princess Catherine at Frogmore Gardens at 11:48 am. The weather is cloudy and 67 degrees with a stiff breeze.

They spoke together for a minute before they were welcomed by TV personality Dwayne Fields, who serves as Chief Scout for the Scout Association. He hosts nature TV shows.

They moved to greet four tables of children with volunteers participating in The Scouts division of "Squirrels" for children ages 4-6.

The activity of two tables was putting ink on leaves and pressing them on paper and adding illustrations.

"This is beautiful!" FLOTUS exclaimed as she sat in a chair and examined their art.

One small boy showed the first lady how to do a leaf pressing and two other children joined them.

Using a brown marker FLOTUS filled in an outline of a bear

"He's a happy bear, right?" She asked.

The boys showed her where to put paste and where to put the leaves.

FLOTUS also took a yellow marker and drew a sun and a green marker to draw some grass. The boy added a pink flower to the drawing using a pink marker.

Princess Kate sat on the grass and spoke with some of the children as well about their art.

A small girl took the First Lady's hand and led her to another table with a hop-skip.

The girl sat on her lap as she spoke to the children

"Nice to meet you all. What are you doing? It's so beautiful. It's so nice." She said.

The children were building "bug hotels" out of bits of cardboard and cardboard tubes.

"Show me how, what I should do," she said.

The children obliged.

"Oh yes, fun!" She replied.

The children showed her an outline of what they were working on and one child showed her a note on the back of the cardboard.

When one child asked the first lady what her favorite bug was, she replied, "A ladybug."

At one point, the children started going underneath the parachute to push the balls out.

The children then gathered on a ring of straw bales and sat as FLOTUS and Princess Kate spoke with the Scoutmaster.

The Scoutmaster spoke to the Squirrels about the day's activities.

"We all earned a badge today!" He said.

They then participated in presentation as the Squirrels were given their "Go Wild" badges

FLOTUS and the Princess presented the badges to the children in groups of three and shook their hands.

"Congratulations!" FLOTUS said and applauded.

The scoutmaster also called up two children to present badges to FLOTUS and the princess.

They then moved to a celebration picnic as cartons of food and juice were handed out to the children.
"They're quite taken with you, remarked a volunteer to FLOTUS as she handed the children some food.

FLOTUS and the princess spoke briefly to the children and waved goodbye.

The Scoutmaster presented the First Lady his neck scarf.
