The President today announced that he will nominate Jacob Clayman, of Bethesda, Md., to be a member of the Federal Council on the Aging. He would replace Nelson Cruikshank, whose term has expired.
Clayman, 75, has been president of the National Council of Senior Citizens since 1979. He was with the Industrial Union Department of the AFL-CIO for almost 20 years and served as president and secretary-treasurer from 1977 to 1979.
