Executive Order 9815—Amending Section 7 of the Executive Order No. 9691 of February 4, 1946, Entitled "Directing the Civil Serve Commission to Resume Operations Under the Civil Service Rules, and Authorizing the Adoption of Special Regulations During the Transitional Period"

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883 (22 Stat. 403), and section 1753 of the Revised States, and in the interest of the internal management of the Government, the proviso of section 7 of Executive Order 9691 of February 4, 1946, is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Provided, That no person shall continue in employment under the authority of this section after the general revision of Schedule A is promulgated, unless the position occupied by such person shall have included under Schedule A. This section shall not apply to positions filled by persons having a classified (competitive) civil service status."
