By virtue of the authority vested in me by section 44 of the Criminal Code, as amended (18 U.S.C. 96), the Matagorda Bay Defensive Sea Area, established and reserved for purposes of national defense by Executive Order No. 9168 of May 20, 1942, is hereby discontinued.
