Executive Order 9494—Authorizing the Civil Service Commission to Confer a Classified Status Upon Certain Employees of the Department of Justice

October 30, 1944

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 408) and by section 1753 of the Revised Statutes (5 U.S.C. 631), the Civil Service Commission is hereby authorized to confer a classified civil-service status upon the following-named employees of the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice without regard to the competitive provisions of the Civil Service Rules:

          George P. Comer
          Johnston Avery
          Haldor R. Mohat

This order is recommended by the Attorney General and by the Civil Service Commission.
