Executive Order 9318—Reinstatement of Maxwell M. Hamilton, a Former Foreign Service Officer

March 20, 1943

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 12 of the act of February 23, 1931, 46 Stat. 1207, 1208, it is ordered that Maxwell M. Hamilton, who resigned his position as an officer in the Foreign Service of the United States on July 31, 1930, to accept an appointment to a position in the Department of State, be, and he is hereby, reinstated in the Foreign Service of the United States in Class I, his reinstatement to be effective upon the date his nomination to a position in such class is confirmed by the Senate.
