Executive Order 8893—Authorizing the Appointment of S. Royden Burch to an Appropriate Position in Department of Agriculture Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules
By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that S. Royden Burch may be appointed to an appropriate position in the Department of Agriculture without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.
Mr. Burch has been employed for nearly 40 years in the Department of Agriculture in the excepted position of agent, with the exception of a short period in 1917.
This order is recommended by the Secretary of Agriculture.
