Executive Order 8849—Authorizing the Appointment of Miss Margaret Patterson as Assistant Historical Aide at the Andrew Johnson National Monument, National Park Service, Without Regard to Civil Service Rules

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Miss Margaret Patterson may be appointed as Assistant Historical Aide at the Andrew Johnson National Monument, National Park Service, Department of the Interior, without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.
