Executive Order 8581—Exemption of Andrew McClellan From Compulsory Retirement for Age
Whereas, in my judgment, the public interest requires that Andrew McClellan, Chief of the Stenographic, Typewriting, and Court Reporting Division of the United States Customs Court, New York, New York, who, during the month of November, 1910, will reach the retirement age prescribed for automatic separation from the service, applicable to him, be exempted from compulsory retirement for age for a period of one year:
Now, Therefore, by virtue of the authority rested in me by section 204 of the act of June 30, 1932, 47 Stat. 382, 404 (U.S.C., title 5, see. 715a), I hereby exempt the said Andrew MeClellan from compulsory retirement for age for a period of one year ending November 30, 1941.
