Executive Order 8537—Authorizing Appointment of Certain Experts in the Antitrust Division, Department of Justice, Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority rested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404) it is hereby ordered that

Fred E. Berquist Leo V. Finn
Joseph Borkin Elmo D. Flynt
Ward S. Bowman Irving Lipkowitz
Henry W. Brooks Hyman B. Ritchin
Norman Bursler Gustab Seidler
Harry Conover Charles L. Terrel
Roy C. Cook Robert Wohlforth

 

may be appointed to positions of experts in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules; Provided that the persons so appointed shall not thereby acquire a competitive classified civil service status.
