Executive Order 8522—Authorizing the Appointment of Mrs. Anna F. Smith to a Position in the Custodial Service of the Post Office Department Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules
By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Mrs. Anna F. Smith may be appointed to the position of relief telephone operator in the custodial service of the Post Office Department at the Main Office Building in Boston, Massachusetts, without compliance with the requirements of the civil service rules.
This order is recommended by the Postmaster General.
