Executive Order 8469—Authorizing the Appointment of John F. Hardy to a Position as Regional Director in the Social Security Board Without Regard to Civil Service Rules
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that John F. Hardy may be appointed to a position as Regional Director in the Social Security Board without compliance with the competitive provisions of the Civil Service Act and Rules: Provided, that the said John F. Hardy shall establish before the Civil Service Commission the possession of requisite qualifications for such position.
