Executive Order 8329—Waiver of the Time Limitations in Civil Service Rule IX To Permit the Reinstatement of Van C. Brodrick to a Position as Rural Carrier in the Post Office at Marysville, Kansas
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that the time limitations contained in Civil Service Rule IX may be waived to permit the reinstatement of Van C. Brodrick to a position as rural carrier in the post office at Marysville, Kansas.
Mr. Brodrick was a classified employee of the Post Office Department in the post office at Marysville, Kansas, from November 22, 1918, to April 21, 1923, but on the latter date his name was dropped from the roll on the erroneous ground that he was unavailable for duty, it having been ascertained that as a matter of fact he was available for duty.
This order is recommended by the Postmaster General and concurred in by the Civil Service Commission.
