Executive Order 8264—Authorizing the Appointment of Master Sergeant Morris Swett, United States Army, Retired, to the Civilian Position of Junior Librarian in the Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Without Compliance With Civil Service Rules

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883, (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Master Sergeant Morris Swett, United States Army, Retired, may be appointed as junior librarian, P-1, at $2000 per annum, in the Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.
