
Executive Order 8229—Authorizing the Promotion of Lieutenant Harry R. Lohman of the Metropolitan Police Force of the Government of the District of Columbia Without Regard to His Standing Upon the Civil Service Register of Eligibles
By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that the Board of Commissioners of the Government of the District of Columbia may promote Lieutenant Harry R. Lohman of the Metropolitan Police Force of the District of Columbia to the rank of captain in the said police force, without regard to his standing upon the civil service register of eligibles.
This order is recommended by the President of the Board of Commissioners and by the Superintendent of Police of the Government of the District of Columbia.
