By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 12 of the act of February 23, 1931, 46 Stat. 1207, 1208, it is ordered that George T. Summerlin, who was promoted from his position as a Foreign Service officer of Class I in the Foreign Service of the United States on March 12, 1925, to be Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Honduras, and who was subsequently appointed Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Venezuela and Panama, respectively, be, and he is hereby, reinstated in the position of Foreign Service officer of Class I, his reinstatement to be effective, after his nomination as a Foreign Service officer of Class I shall have been confirmed by the Senate, upon the date of his taking the oath of office as such officer.
