Executive Order 7587—Authorizing Certain Employees of the National Labor Relations Board To Acquire a Competitive Classified Civil Service Status

March 27, 1937

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403) and section 1753 of the Revised Statutes (5 U.S.C., sec. 631), it is hereby ordered that the employees, exclusive of the attorneys, examiners, regional directors, and an executive secretary, who were transferred, pursuant to the provisions of section 4(b) of the National Labor Relations Act, approved July 5, 1935 (49 Stat. 449), from the National Labor Relations Board created by Executive Order No. 6763 of June 29, 1934, to the National Labor Relations Board created by the said Act, and who, by virtue of such transfer, now occupy positions in the National Labor Relations Board which are subject to the Civil Service Act and Rules, may acquire a competitive civil service status upon compliance with the provisions of section 6 of Civil Service Rule II, as amended by Executive Order No. 7408 of July 6, 1936.
