Executive Order 7346—Authorizing the Appointment of William J. Butler to the Position of Park Ranger, National Park Service, Department of the Interior, Without Regard to Civil Service Rules

April 15, 1936

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883 (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that William J. Butler may be appointed to the position of Park Ranger in the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.
