Executive Order 6944—Transfer of Lands from the Uinta National Forest to the Wasatch National Forest, Utah

January 09, 1935

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the act of June 4, 1897 (30 Stat. 11, 36; U.S.C., title 16, sec. 473), and upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture, it is ordered that all lands in the Uinta National Forest lying to the east of the following-described Une be, and they are hereby, transferred to the Wasatch National Forest:

Beginning at the point on the boundary of the Uinta National Forest as described by proclamation of July 30, 1929 (46 Stat. 3003), where said boundary intersects the west boundary of T. 2 N., R. 9 W., Uinta special meridian; thence in a southeasterly direction along the hydrographic divide between Duchesne River on the east and Soapstone Creek and Wolf Creek on the west to the point where said hydrographic divide intersects the said Uinta National Forest boundary near the southeast comer of sec. 13, T. 1 N., R. 9 W., Uinta special meridian.
