Executive Order 6562—Additional Compensation of Enlisted Men of the Army for Special Qualifications in the Use of Arms

January 18, 1934

By virtue of the authority vested in me under section 18 of the act of June 10, 1922 (ch. 212, 42 Stat. 625, 632), it is hereby ordered that enlisted men of the Army, after having established their special qualifications in the use of the arm or arms which they may be required to use according to standards of proficiency which have been or may be prescribed from time to time by the Secretary of War, and subject to the provisions of sections 2 and 3 of title II of the act of March 20, 1933 (Public, No. 2, 73d Cong.), shall, for such periods of time and under such conditions as have been or may be prescribed by the Secretary of War from time to time, receive additional compensation as follows:

          First class-------------------------------$5 per month.
          Second class----------------------------$4 per month.
          Third class------------------------------$3 per month.
          Fourth class-----------------------------$2 per month.
          Fifth class-------------------------------$1 per month.

This order supersedes Executive Order No. 3962, dated February 19, 1924.
