Executive Order 6265—Purchase of Forest Lands for Emergency Conservation Work

September 05, 1933

By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Act of Congress entitled "AN ACT For the relief of unemployment through the performance of useful public work, and for other purposes", approved March 31, 1933 (Public No. 5—73d Congress), Executive Order No. 6208, dated July 21, 1933, is amended by adding thereto:

And the Secretary of Agriculture may allot from the sum hereby allocated not to exceed $35,000 for expenditure by the Bureau of Chemistry and Soils for the purpose of making soil examination, surveys, and investigations, to be withdrawn as hereinbefore provided.
