Mrs. Thelma D. Roy may be employed for one year in the classified service of the Treasury Department without regard to the requirements of the civil service rules.
Mrs. Roy served as an excepted employee in the Bureau of Engraving and Printing from September 13, 1919, to July 25, 1922, and has been temporarily employed in that bureau and in the office of the Treasurer of the United States, but has no eligibility for permanent appointment.
Mrs. Roy's husband has deserted her, leaving her without means and with three small children to support.
This order is issued with the restriction that it shall not confer upon Mrs. Roy any status for subsequent employment in the classified service.
