Executive Order 5054—Authorizing the Reinstatement of Mary E. Kelly Without Regard to Civil Service Rules

February 23, 1929

Mrs. Mary E. Kelly may be reinstated in a clerical position in the classified service without regard to the time limit on reinstatements under the civil service rules.

Mrs. Kelly is the widow of John J. Kelly who at the time of his death, September 5, 1928, had been an employee of the Government Printing Office for more than thirty years. His death left her without means of support for herself and her ten-year old daughter. Mrs. Kelly was employed in the classified service for approximately twenty years, her last service as a permanent employee terminating by resignation on April 9, 1918.
